Waste Management Awareness Program – An Initiative by Naya Savera

On the second day, Naya Savera conducted a Waste Management Awareness Program at the Government School to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable living practices.

The session emphasized the importance of cleanliness, proper waste segregation, recycling, composting, and reducing plastic usage. Students were educated on how small changes in daily habits can significantly contribute to protecting the environment. Through demonstrations and practical examples, they learned how to effectively separate biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.

A special highlight of the program was the creative activity of “Turning Waste into Beautiful Art.” Students used discarded materials such as plastic bottles, newspapers, cardboard, and old containers to create decorative and useful items. This hands-on activity not only enhanced their creativity but also helped them understand the value of reusing and recycling waste materials in an innovative way.

The program aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students, encouraging them to become ambassadors of cleanliness in their homes and communities. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the session engaging and impactful. By the end of the day, attendees pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices and spread awareness about sustainable waste management.
